Award Recognition
This project forms part of the award-winning regeneration and conservation of Yarnton Manor in Oxfordshire, recognised by the Constructing Excellence Awards for its sensitive restoration of a Grade II listed building.
Scope & Delivery
Nineteen Interiors were responsible for a comprehensive scope across the project, including spatial planning, design coordination and full interior specification.
This included the design and coordination of ceiling mouldings, lighting schemes and decorative elements, alongside the sourcing of furniture, artwork, accessories and extensive book collections. Chandeliers and feature lighting were carefully selected to reinforce the scale and character of the spaces, while layouts were developed to ensure functionality across both private and institutional use.
Styling & Finalisation
Final styling played a key role in bringing the interiors together, with each space carefully composed to feel complete yet understated.
Accessories, artwork and objects were selected to complement the architecture without overwhelming it, creating interiors that feel both curated and natural. Ongoing aftercare ensured that the spaces continued to perform as intended following completion.
Design Development & Detailing
The project involved a highly detailed design development phase, carefully layering materials, finishes and furnishings to complement the classical character of Yarnton Manor.
Antique and reclaimed pieces were sourced from specialist reclamation yards to align with the architectural language of the building, while bespoke fabrics were selected and applied across soft furnishings to introduce subtle variation and depth. Rugs were sourced through a specialist maker with access to traditional designs from across the world, ensuring each piece felt authentic to the setting.
Particular attention was given to the restoration and refinement of existing joinery, alongside the introduction of new elements where required, maintaining consistency throughout.
