The Process Explained
1 | Initial Consultation & Brief Development
We begin with an on-site consultation, allowing us to develop a clear understanding of the property, the client’s objectives and the overall scope of works.
During this visit, we review the existing conditions, take any necessary photographs, and discuss budget parameters, programme expectations and levels of involvement.
Early advice is provided on feasibility, constraints and opportunities, ensuring that the project is approached with clarity and a well-informed strategy from the outset.
2 | Site Visit & Measured Survey
A detailed site visit is undertaken to assess existing conditions and any physical or logistical constraints that may influence the project.
Where required, we coordinate measured surveys and gather relevant technical information to support accurate design development.
This stage also allows for the early identification of structural, services and access considerations, alongside the presentation of initial samples, mood boards and concept ideas to establish the overall design direction.
3 | Design Development & Cost Planning
Design development focuses on spatial planning and layout optimisation, supported by the production of detailed technical drawings to enable accurate cost planning.
During this stage, we coordinate closely with all relevant third parties, including building management teams, architects and specialist consultants, to ensure the design is fully informed and buildable.
A comprehensive cost plan is developed in parallel with the design, maintaining clarity, control and alignment throughout the process.
4 | Procurement & Programme Coordination
Procurement is carefully managed to appoint the appropriate subcontractors and specialists, alongside the early ordering of long-lead items critical to the programme.
The construction programme is finalised following detailed trade input, with key milestones and the completion date formally agreed with the client.
Prior to commencement on site, we continue coordination with all relevant third parties to ensure the project is fully aligned and ready for delivery.
5 | Project Delivery
During the construction phase, we provide on-site management and coordination of all trades and works, ensuring the project is delivered in line with the agreed design, programme and quality standards.
Ongoing oversight of progress, costs and workmanship allows issues to be addressed proactively as they arise.
Clear and consistent communication is maintained throughout this stage, providing transparency and reassurance from start to finish.
6 | Installation, Styling and Final Detailing
This stage focuses on the installation of bespoke furniture, integrated joinery and specialist elements, including kitchens, finishes and lighting systems.
Particular attention is given to final detailing, ensuring that quality standards are met and the original design intent is fully realised.
The property is then carefully prepared for completion, including thorough cleaning and considered styling, allowing the finished spaces to be presented at their best.
7 | Completion and Aftercare
Completion includes final inspections and the formal handover of the finished project.
Any outstanding items are managed promptly following completion, ensuring the property is delivered to the expected standard.
Ongoing aftercare support is provided to ensure the project continues to perform as intended and that the spaces remain resolved over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this service for one room or a whole house?
Our service works for both. Some clients start with a single room, while others redesign their entire home.
Whether it’s a bedroom refresh or a full luxury interior design project, we tailor our service requirements around you.
How long does it take?
This depends on the scope of your project. For most interior design projects, we can provide a timescale indication during your initial consultation.
More complex schemes involving structural or building works may require additional time to assess accurately before confirming final timescales.
Do you manage builders and trades?
For refurbishment and interior works, we operate with a highly trusted network of specialist trades, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional finish.
Where a project involves structural or major building works, we collaborate closely with your appointed builder to integrate the design smoothly, maintaining full continuity from concept through to completion.
I haven't used an interior designer before - how does it work?
We take a warm, highly client-focused approach to every project.
An initial consultation is simply a relaxed conversation about your ideas, goals, and space - giving us both the chance to explore your vision and see if we’re the right fit for you.
What if I don't like the proposed designs?
We actively listen to your feedback and work collaboratively with you, refining every detail to ensure the final design aligns perfectly with your vision and leaves you completely confident in the outcome.
Can I include my existing furniture?
Absolutely. This can be discussed during your initial consultation.
We’re very happy to incorporate existing furniture into your design, provided it complements your vision and the overall scheme - ensuring the final result feels cohesive, considered, and truly yours.
Do you only work on high-budget projects?
Not at all. We regularly work on projects ranging from a single room refresh to full home redesigns.
Whatever the scale, we help you make the most of your budget - guiding you through the design process to achieve the best possible result without unnecessary spend.
Do you travel abroad for projects?
Yes. While much of our work is based in London and the UK, we also undertake selected international projects.
Please get in touch to discuss your location and requirements.
How do you minimise disruption during the refurbishment?
We minimise disruption by working closely with you to create a clear phasing plan, carefully scheduling works to reduce the impact on your day-to-day life.
Where certain stages may be intrusive, we’ll advise on alternative approaches and timings, ensuring the process remains as smooth, considerate, and stress-free as possible.
Do you handle logistics?
Yes. We manage logistics across everything from private residences and mixed-use developments to full-scale commercial projects.
This includes coordinating with building management teams, booking loading bays, arranging permits to work, and navigating site protocols - ensuring every delivery and installation runs smoothly and compliantly.
Do you handle planning and build regulations?
We guide you through the entire process. While planning and Building Regulations are handled by the relevant authorities and specialist consultants, we identify when they’re required and coordinate with the appropriate professionals on your behalf.
Our role is to ensure everything is considered early, correctly documented, and seamlessly integrated into the design - so there are no surprises later.
Do you handle licenses to alter?
Yes. We can manage the full Licence to Alter process on your behalf, coordinating with the managing agent, freeholder, and project team to ensure all required documentation and approvals are handled smoothly and efficiently.
